Fifty years of life. Your grandchildren know maybe ten of them.
LifeCharted lays your whole story out on one screen — the jobs, the houses, the moves, the trips — and helps you write it down by talking, not typing. Approximate years are fine. “The late 70s” is a real answer here.
Made for stories that span decades
Every job, every home, every country you lived in. LifeCharted gives structure to the decades that photos alone can't capture.
Once your events are in, the AI can write a narrative — your story in your words, grounded only in facts you've added. You review every sentence.
You don't need exact dates. If you lived somewhere "in the late 70s," that's enough. LifeCharted places it on the timeline automatically.
Download a formatted Life Resume or a written memoir PDF to give to family, include in estate planning, or keep as a keepsake.
Send a read-only link to your children or grandchildren. They can view your full timeline in a browser — no account, no sign-up.
Your timeline is private by default. No one can see it unless you explicitly share it. No ads, no data sales, no AI training on your events.
What this looks like in practice
Forty years of notebooks in a closet is a common starting point. The interview gives them somewhere to go: talk through what's in them, and the timeline organizes itself.
Grandchildren tend to know the last two decades and nothing before. A shared timeline link lets them scroll the whole thing — no app, no account on their end.
"I've been meaning to write it down for twenty years" usually means the blank page won. A guided conversation gets further in an afternoon, because answering questions is easier than starting sentences.
Common questions
No. You add events one at a time — type a title, pick the years, choose a category. Most people have their first 10 events entered in under 20 minutes. There is no timeline to figure out; LifeCharted builds it automatically.
Yes. Premium users can share a read-only link with anyone — no account required for the recipient. You can also export a Life Resume PDF and a written My Story narrative to share or print.
LifeCharted works with approximate years. If you know you lived somewhere "in the late 70s," enter 1972–1978 or whichever years feel right. Month precision is optional and you can update entries anytime.
Completely. Your timeline is private by default. Nothing is shared publicly unless you explicitly create a share link. LifeCharted does not sell your data, does not show ads, and does not use your events to train AI models.
