Acceptable Use Policy

LifeCharted is a personal life-history platform. It is designed for individuals to record, organise, and reflect on their own life events — residences, work, education, relationships, health milestones, and more. All use must be consistent with that purpose.

You may not upload, store, transmit, or share content that:

• Is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or invasive of another person’s privacy.
• Infringes any copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property right.
• Contains child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors.
• Constitutes spam, unsolicited commercial communications, or chain messages.
• Contains malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorised access to systems.
• Impersonates any person or entity, or misrepresents your affiliation with a person or entity.
• Violates any applicable law or regulation, including export control laws.

You may not use LifeCharted to:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or Tribus Labs infrastructure.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related system without our prior written permission.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive source code from the Service.
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service by automated means without our express written consent.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
• Use the Service to store or process data on behalf of others (i.e., as a data processor or sub-processor) without a separate written agreement.
• Circumvent any authentication, access control, rate-limiting, or usage restriction we impose.

LifeCharted includes optional AI-powered features (narrative generation, event parsing). You agree not to:

• Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or misuse any AI model weights or API access provided through the Service.
• Use AI-generated outputs for medical, legal, financial, or other high-stakes decisions without independent professional advice.
• Deliberately attempt to produce harmful, misleading, or policy-violating outputs through prompt injection or adversarial inputs.

LifeCharted lets you record events involving other people (relationships, shared experiences). You must:

• Ensure you have the right to store and share any information about other individuals.
• Not use the platform to harass, stalk, or surveille others.
• Respect applicable privacy laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and similar) when storing information about identifiable individuals.

You agree not to place excessive load on the Service beyond its designed capacity. We reserve the right to impose reasonable rate limits and storage quotas. Systematic abuse of free tiers to avoid paying for a subscription that reflects your actual use is a violation of this AUP.

If you believe someone is violating this AUP, please report it to [email protected]. We will investigate and take appropriate action, which may include suspension or termination of the offending account.

Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account, with or without notice, at our sole discretion. We may also report illegal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities. Remedies under this AUP are in addition to, and not in lieu of, any other legal remedies available to us.

We may update this AUP from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of LifeCharted after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
