What is Life Stats?

What you see

Life Stats automatically calculates totals from your timeline: events logged, years documented, active domains, your most documented decade, unique employers, cities lived in, countries and continents, and per-domain counts for work, education, residence, travel, sports, health, pets, and achievements.

The geographic footprint section shows continents visited, countries, US states, cities lived in, and an estimated total distance travelled.

Where the numbers come from

Every figure is computed from your events — nothing is entered by hand, and nothing is generated by AI. Stats recalculate from your current timeline each time you open the view.

If a number looks wrong, the cause is almost always an event with the wrong category, a missing date, or a location that was typed but never pinned. Fix the event and the stat updates.

Sharing your stats

Use the Share button at the top of Life Stats to include your stats in a share link. Creating share links requires Premium — see the sharing article for how the wizard works.

Rules of Thumb

• The more events and locations you have logged, the richer and more accurate your stats will be.
• Pin locations by selecting a suggestion when you type a place — a typed name with no coordinates will not count toward the geographic stats.

Common Mistakes

• Expecting geographic stats without having added location data to events.
• Assuming a surprising number is a bug — check the underlying events for a wrong category or a missing end date first.
